The third green industry conference, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the United Nations industrial development organization, opened in guangzhou on July 7.The theme of this meeting is "accelerating the construction of a green industrial system and promoting the coordinated development of industry and ecology".Vice chairman Chen changzhi of the standing committee of the National People's Congress attended the meeting and delivered a speech.Minister of industry and information technology miao wei, vice minister su bo, director-general of the United Nations industrial development organization li yong, governor of guangdong province zhu xiaodan, and leaders of relevant departments of the State Council attended the meeting.

Miao wei delivered a keynote speech titled "promoting green and low-carbon development and accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading" at the opening ceremony.He pointed out that for the future, China's industrial system will conscientiously implement the strategy to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization, accelerate the adjustment of industrial structure optimization, improve industrial sector energy efficiency, promote green low carbon mode of production, to develop the energy conservation and environmental protection industries, and accelerate the establishment of a mechanism of green development policy, promote the development of green industry, circulation, low carbon, to promote coordinated development of industry and ecology.

Miao wei hopes that the United Nations industrial development organization (unido) will continue to play an advantageous and active role in jointly promoting the development of green industries worldwide.

Miao said that China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with other countries under the framework of the United Nations industrial development organization, jointly implement the green industry action plan, and make positive contributions to combating global climate change and promoting sustainable development.

More than 500 participants, including representatives of industrial authorities of nearly 40 countries, well-known scholars at home and abroad, comrades in charge of industrial and information authorities of various provinces, regions and municipalities, and enterprise representatives, will have in-depth exchanges and discussions on promoting the accelerated development of green industry and other issues during the 3-day meeting.
